Monday Acts of Random Kindness

Inspired by the weekly contests at The Average Girl’s Guide to Being A Princess, I have decided to begin a regular post entitled Monday’s Act of Random Kindness. In it I will tell whatever random acts of kindness I manage to do, observe or receive during the week. I am hoping this will help me to be more aware of opportunities that I have to be kind to others. I also thought it would be a great way to start my week, and hopefully yours!
I would love to hear about your Random Acts of Kindess. Feel free to share in the comments below or if you post about them, leave a link and I’ll come visit!
We were at the library on Monday and after Katrina, my 7 yo daughter, checked out her books, she took a dime out of her purse and told the librarian that she loved coming to the library and she would like to make a donation. WOW! The librarians were tickled.
My son, Jack, returned a neighbor’s lawnmower. The 15 yo next door was going to mow our yard for us when our lawn mower bit the dust. She got started on it, but never finished and left her lawnmower in our yard for a couple of months. We are pretty laid back around here and since there hasn’t been any rain, her family really didn’t need the lawn mower right away. Well, Jack returned it for her this week. See, it was at the bottom of our yard (which is the same as saying at the bottom of a hill, then our neighbor is about 1/4 mile down the road, so it wasn’t the easiest thing lugging it back.)
Laura at Laura Williams Musings made me a button for my blog…it is so cute! You can see it in this post.
A Random Act from my past…I had a flat tire on an acceleration ramp during 5:00 traffic time. I don’t know how to change a tire, and this was pre-cell phone days. As I was sitting in the car pondering what to do and watching car after car speed by ignoring my hazard lights and flat tire, a gentleman pulled over and changed my tire. He said that he would hope that were his wife or daughter in the same situation that someone would stop and help them.
